Theme: Healing & Hope in Religious Traditions & Beliefs in the Pandemic Time

Digital Conference

CALL FOR PAPERS

Pandemic, war, famine, and pestilence are life situations where people long and hope for healing. Like what is happening worldwide, different religions and Christian churches offer various forms of healing according to traditions and beliefs. Social media is used for healing and giving hope to people. Healing from the concept analysis is a holistic, transformative process of repair and recovery in mind, body and spirit. This process results in positive change that finds meaning and movement toward self-realization of wholeness, regardless of the presence of absence of disease (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov). One can define the virtue of hope as a perceived capability to derive pathways to desired goals and motivate oneself through agency thinking while using those pathways. (Rand, K.L. & Cheavens, J.S. (2009.p. 3231333). Indeed, healing is possible when one has HOPE to be healed. Therefore, hope and healing through one’s faith and beliefs are possible.
